This project at Tucson Electric Power’s Macho Springs wind park – New Mexico – required us to hoist a 136000 lb shunt reactor onto our 5 axle transport dolly. The transport dolly is being pulled by our prime mover, “Mighty Mel.” After moving the shunt reactor 350 ft with Mighty Mel, we then hoisted the shunt reactor onto a pad for dressing [Not Shown].
